Imām Ibn Bāz (رحمه الله‎) said:

Indeed most of this noble month has now gone, today is the 16th [of Ramaḍān]. Therefore, we ask Allāh to grant us and you an increased effort in doing everything that will please Him, and that He aids us and you in competing towards every form of good. It is legislated for a believer to increase his efforts in these remaining virtuous days, and that he should take up [in the days] that remain, whatever he allowed to slip away [of deeds in the previous days]. In performing acts of obedience to Allāh, abundantly praying Ṣalāh, abundantly making tasbīḥ [subḥān Allāh], taḥlīl [lā ilāha illa Allāh], takbīr [Allāhu Akbar], taḥmīd [alḥamduli Allāh], reading Qurʼān abundantly while contemplating over and understanding it, giving charity in abundance, offering advice in abundance, directing others towards good, commanding the observance of virtue, prohibiting evil, and the various other forms of goodness. The more the month goes forward, the more the believer should increase in good deeds, setting right what remains.
