Shaykh Sāliḥ Al-Fawzān on the Church Bombings in Egypt

May Allāh grant you good. (The questioner) says: Please may you offer some advice concerning the bombings that occurred at the church in Alexandria, Egypt? May Allāh reward you with good.

Shaykh Sāliḥ Al-Fawzān (حفظه الله) said: This is from treachery. If he is from the Muslims that live in Egypt and are Egyptians, then it is treachery. Because these Christians have a guarantee and protection from the Muslim (Egyptians). They are their neighbours and have been living with them for a long time. Treachery towards them is impermissible.

And if he (the terrorist) is from outside of Egypt, (as in) he is present within Egypt however not from its people, then such a person is not to be viewed as (a representation) of the Egyptians.
